Afterwards, all sweaty and gross I thought to myself-a latte sounds great! So I hit up my favorite coffee shop-they serve my new favorite coffee-Stumptown. Guess what? I think everyone in my neighborhood had the same idea. It took me half an hour to get a hot, foamy latte and a crepe to go. A few hours later when I was sitting on my couch studying-I heard the roar of a downpour and the rain pounding on my window. I love that sound.
Ok, so now you’re thinking-Sally you must have a lot of time
on your hands-writing a blog about every detail of your Sunday morning. Actually, I only have ten minutes to do this
at work—and the reason I’m doing it is because I figured it’s nice to remember
the positive side to the weather
changing. I think it’s really easy to
get sad about the shrinking days, increasing clouds and the rain-but there are
some fabulous things about this season (that we’re only two days into). I
figured I’d list my favorites, here. Let
me know if you can add to this list.
1)
The changing colors
2) Hikes in the fall
3)
The smell of the rain
4)
The sound of the rain
5)
Shifting from iced lattes to hot lattes
6)
Pulling out my cozy winter sweaters again (it’s
always fun to switch up the wardrobe)
7)
Without nice weather, it’s more acceptable to go
to the movies or curl up with a book
8)
Wine! A
lot of wineries have a big fall release
9)
Halloween and candycorn season are just around
the corner
10)
Only two months until ski season begins!
